Once there was a king named Mallik. He was a very brave, kind and powerful king. He was loved by his subjects and also by his courtiers. One day a thought came to the mind of the King, "Am I really so great that there is no defect in me? How should I find it out?" "Do my people praise me because they could not criticize me at my face? The truth can be known when one hears the true opinion of the people. This can happen only if I am not recognized. People will not afraid to give their true opinion." The King called his charioteer. He told him that he wanted to go on a tour, he would take only the charioteer with him.

One day, an expert in time management was speaking to a group of business students and, to drive home a point, used an illustration those students will never forget. As he stood in front of the group of high-powered overachievers he said, Okay, time for a quiz, and he pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouth Mason jar and set it on the table in front of him.
He also produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, is this jar full
Everyone in the class yelled, Yes.
The time management expert replied, Really
He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. He dumped some gravel in and shook the jar causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the spaces between the big rocks.
He then asked the group once more, Is the jar full
By this time the class was on to him. Probably not, one of them answered.
Good! he replied.
He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in the jar and it went into all of the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel.
Once more he asked the question, Is this jar full
No! the class shouted.
Once again he said, Good.
Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim.
He looked at the class and asked, What is the point of this illustration
One eager beaver raised his hand and said, The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things in it!
No, the speaker replied, that's not the point. The truth is, this illustration teaches us that if you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all.

What are the 'big rocks' in your life, time with your loved ones, your faith, your education, your dreams, a worthy cause, teaching or mentoring others Remember to put these 'big rocks' in first or you'll never get them in at all. So, tonight, or in the morning, when you are reflecting on this short story, ask yourself this question What are the 'big rocks' in my life Then, put those in your jar first.

A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and pulled it over to the telephone. He climbed onto the carton so that he could reach the buttons on the phone and proceeded to punch in seven digits (phone numbers).
The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation:
Boy: "Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn? Woman: (at the other end of the phone line): "I already have someone to cut my lawn."
Boy: "Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now."
Woman: I'm very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting my lawn.
Boy: (with more perseverance) : "Lady, I'll even sweepyour curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you willhave the prettiest lawn in all of Palm beach , Florida.."
Woman: No, thank you.
With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver. The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.
Store Owner: "Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job."
Boy: "No thanks,
Store Owner: But you were really pleading for one.Boy: No Sir, I was just checking my performance at thejob I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady I was talking to!"
This is what we call "Self Appraisal"

The professor of a university once challenged his students with this question.
'Did God create everything that exists?'
A student answered bravely, 'Yes, He did'.
The professor then asked, 'If God created everything, then He created evil. Since evil exists (as noticed by our own actions), so God is evil. The student could not respond to that statement causing the professor to conclude that he had 'proved' that the belief in God was a fairy tale, and therefore worthless.
Another student raised his hand and asked the professor, 'May I pose a question?'
'Of course', answered the professor.
The young student stood up and asked, 'Professor does cold exist?'
The professor answered, 'What kind of question is that? Of course cold exists... haven't you ever been cold?'
The young student answered, 'In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold, is in fact the absence of heat. Anything is able to be studied as long as it transmits energy (heat). Absolute Zero is the total absence of heat, but cold does not exist. What we have done is to create a term to describe how we feel if we don't have body heat or we are not hot.' Jun 10 *#*#*#only 'And, does darkness exist?', he continued. The professor answered, 'Of course'.
This time the student responded, 'Again you're wrong, sir. Darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in fact simply the absence of light. Light can be studied, darkness can not. Darkness cannot be broken down. A simple ray of light tears the darkness and illuminates the surface where the light beam finishes. Dark is a term that we humans have created to describe what happens when there's lack of light.'
Finally, the student asked the professor, 'Sir, does evil exist?'
The professor replied, 'Of course it exists, as I mentioned at the beginning, we see violations, crimes and violence anywhere in the world, and those things are evil.'
The student responded, 'Sir, evil does not exist. Just as in the previous cases, evil is a term which man has created to describe the result of the absence of God's presence in the hearts of man.'
After this, the professor bowed down his head, and did not answer back.
The young man's name was ALBERT EINSTEIN.

Long time ago in China, a girl named Li-Li got married &Went to live with her husband and mother-in-law. In a very short time, Li-Li found that she couldn't get along with her mother-in-law at all. Their personalities were very different, and Li-Li was angered by Many of her mother-in-law' s habits. In addition, she criticized Li-Li Constantly . Days passed and weeks passed. Li-Li and her mother-in-law Never stopped arguing and fighting. But what made the situation even Worse was that,According to ancient Chinese tradition, Li-Li had to bowTo her mother-in-law and obey her every wish. All the anger and Unhappiness in the house was causing Li-Li's poor husband great distress.Finally, Li-Li could not stand her mother-in-law' s bad temper And dictatorship any longer, and she decided to do something about It.Li-Li went to see her father's good friend, Mr. Huang, who sold herbs. She told him the situation and asked if he would give her some poison So that she could solve the problem once and for all. Mr. Huang thought For a while,and finally said, " Li-Li, I will help you solve your problem,But you must listen to me and obey what I tell you ." Li-Li said, " Yes, Mr. Huang, I will do whatever you tell me toDo." Mr. Huang went into the back room, and returned in a fewMinutes with a package of herbs. He told Li-Li, " You can't use a quick-acting Poison to get rid of your mother-in-law, because that would cause people To become suspicious .Therefore, I have given you a number of herbs that will slowlyBuild up poison in her body. Every other day prepare some delicious meal and Put a little of these herbs in her serving. Now, in order to make sure That nobody suspect you when she dies.You must be very careful to act very friendly towards her. Don't argue with her, obey her every wish, and treat her likeA queen ." 9/29/06 tulasi Li-Li was so happy. She thanked Mr. Huang and hurried home toStart her plot of murdering her mother-in-law. Weeks went by and months Went by, and every other day, Li-Li served the specially treated food to her Mother-in-law. She remembered what Mr. Huang had said about Avoiding suspicion, so she controlled her temper, obeyed her Mother-in-law, and treated her like her own mother.After six months had passed, the whole household had changed. Li-Li had practiced controlling her temper so much that she found that she almost never got mad or upset. She hadn't had an argument with her mother-in-law in six Months because she now seemed much kinder and easier to get along with. The Mother-in-law' s attitude toward Li-Li changed, and she began to love Li-Li Like her own daughter. She kept telling friends and relatives that Li-Li was the Best daughter-in- law one could ever find. Li-Li and her mother-in-law Were now treating each other like a real mother and daughter.Li-Li's husband was very happy to see what was happening.One day, Li-Li came to see Mr. Huang and asked for his help Again.She said, " Dear Mr. Huang, please help me to keep the poison fromKilling my mother-in-law! She's changed into such a nice woman, and I Love her like my own mother. I do not want her to die because of the poison I gave her."Mr. Huang smiled and nodded his head. " Li-Li, there'sNothing to worry about. I never gave you any poison. The herbs I gave You were vitamins to improve her health. The only poison was in your Mind and your attitude toward her, but that has been all washed away by the Love which you gave to her."
HAVE YOU REALIZED that how you treat others is exactly howThey will treat you? There is a wise Chinese saying: " The person who loves Others will also be loved in return."
God might be trying to work in another person's life through you

Once a boy went to a shop with his mother.

The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets and said 'Dear Child..
u can take the sweets...
But the child didnt take.
The shop keeper was surprised.. such a small child he is and why is he not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets...
Now the mother also heard that and said.. take the sweets dear..
Yet he didnt take...

The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets... he himself took the sweets and gave to the child. The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets.

While returning home the Mother asked the child...

Why didnt you take the sweets, when the shop keeper told you to take?..

Can you guess the response:

Child replies... Mom! my hands are very small and if i take the sweets i can only take few.. but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands.... how many more sweets i got!

When we take we may get little but when God gives...
HE gives us more beyond our expectations...more than what we can hold..!!

A turtle family went on a picnic. The turtles, being naturally slow about things, took seven years to prepare for their outings. Finally the Turtle family left home looking for a suitable place. During the second year of their journey they found it. For about six months they cleaned up the area, unpacked the picnic basket, and completed the arrangements.
Then they discovered they had forgotten the salt. A picnic without salt would be a disaster, they all agreed. After a lengthy discussion, the youngest turtle was chosen to retrieve the salt from home. Although he was the fastest of the slow moving turtles, the little turtle whined, cried, and wobbled in his shell.
He agreed to go on one condition: that no one would eat until he returned. The family consented and the little turtle left. Three years passed and the little turtle had not returned. Five years â Six years... Then in the seventh year of his absence, the oldest turtle could no longer contain his hunger. He announced that he was going to eat and began to unwrap a sandwich. At that point the little turtle suddenly popped out from behind a tree shouting, "SEE I knew you wouldn't wait. Now I am not going to go get the salt."

Some of us waste our time waiting for people to live
up to our expectations. We are so concerned about
what others are doing that we don't do anything
